NOVA Group (stock code: 1360HK) is a diversified investment holding group focusing on cultural entertainment and exhibition services, and providing services to culture and entertainment related businesses.

With cultural entertainment and exhibition as its main business, NOVA GROUP specifically works on cultural entertainment brand building and management, consultancy, marketing, system integration and solutions of audio-visual and stage equipment, financing and factoring services, commercial space design, real-life decoration and other professional services tailored to entertainment businesses such as bars, KTVs and exhibition services. As of Jun 30, 2021, NOVA Group recorded HK$228 million in revenue and an operating profit of HK$56.75 million.

NOVA GROUP has adhered to the principle of “to accomplish win-win results and co-develop through joint efforts” since its inception, and has accomplished steady expansion and accurate layout. In 2017, NOVA GROUP aimed at the broad cultural entertainment market in mainland China to build comprehensive service platform for culture entertainment and provide related services, decisively entering the market through IP building and commercial operation of cultural entertainment brands. At present, it has four entertainment brands, namely, Dr. Oscar, PHEBE, MT and U.CLUB, with more than 50 authorized stores in China, forming a “systematical and differentiated” system of brands building and IP commercial operation. Moreover, NOVA GROUP further integrates and coordinates its resources. In March 2018, Nod Union, a well-known integrated service platform for the pan-entertainment industry in China was acquired, which led to the transformation of NOVA GROUP from a single brand service provider to a comprehensive service platform. Since then, an industrial layout with dual-focus on cultural entertainment and exhibition has been formed.

Focusing on new store expansion, old store upgrading and product iteration for physical stores such as bars and KTVs, NOVA GROUP has explored the core operations and industrial development of physical stores, and put great efforts into researching, developing and constructing a CPU which improves physical stores’ operation efficiency and involves system integration of audio-visual equipment such as lighting, acoustics and video, operational product support, commercial space design, online operation services and online-offline interaction. It has also built an “audio-visual interactive” database for audio-visual equipment system integration and equipment selection and configuration schemes, with independent intellectual property rights.

In the future, NOVA GROUP will further explore the advantages of Nod Union as an integrated platform and expand the channel value of its 1,000-plus members. It will broaden horizontally by consolidating and expanding the “platform” members and attracting new members; it will deepen vertically by meeting the core needs of physical entertainment stores and strengthening the stickiness of members. In addition, it will draw an overall plan for the market layout of scarce international music resources such as international top 100 DJs in China, and enhance the integration of rare international liquor brands depending on its professional ability to make whole case planning for liquor brands. It will also pool together commercial space designers internationally, and build a professional platform for designers to create innovative experiential commercial space. On the basis of consolidating existing businesses, it will make strenuous efforts to build a highly competitive CPU matrix which improves operation efficiency of physical stores.

Besides, aiming at building industrial Internet, NOVA GROUP will make an all-out effort to promote the layout and construction of online operation systems such as SAAS management software and hold exhibitions catering to the industry of culture and entertainment, thus to reinforce industrial collaboration and thoroughly stimulate the dual driving forces of “cultural entertainment and exhibition”.

With the goal of becoming a leading “comprehensive service platform for culture and entertainment”, NOVA GROUP will constantly advance the reorganization and integration of the industrial value chain and push forward the industry internationalization, in an effort to create a new eco-system for culture and entertainment industries which features co-creating, co-sharing and win-win results.
